1. ORGANISERS AND CONTACTS
1.1. Living Islam is a project of The Islamic Society of Britain (www.isb.org.uk). In the following, “Living Islam” or “the Organisers” means the organisers of the Living Islam 2016 festival and all official personnel involved with the festival; “the Event” is the Living Islam 2016 festival. Eventbrite will be supplying the tickets on behalf of the Organisers.

2. INFORMATION AND TERMS OF SALE
2.1. By making your purchase, you have agreed to be bound by the Event terms and conditions, outlined below.
2.2. I accept that the Organisers are not responsible for any injuries or loss of property incurred at the Event.
2.3. I accept that no literature or materials may be sold or distributed freely at the Event without prior written permission from the Organizers.
2.4. I (the person purchasing from the Organisers) accept that I and all members of my booking group will abide by the rules and regulations of the Event, as specified by the Organisers.
2.5. The Organisers reserve the right to evict me and/or my party from the site without a refund for the entry tickets if I do not abide by the terms of the sale and/or behave in a manner that is deemed unacceptable by the Organisers.
2.6. The ‘age’ categories are ages as at 28th July 2016. Accurate information regarding date of birth should be included as part of the ticketing process.
2.7. Ticket purchase does not include food; this may be purchased from the many stalls on site.
2.8. Ticket purchase does not include accommodation.
2.9. The Organisers reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The latest terms and conditions will be posted on the website.
2.10. The Event ticket service provider is Eventbrite. Terms and conditions for the purchase of the tickets from Eventbrite can be found on their website.
3. TICKETS AND PRICING
3.1. Tickets can only be booked from the Living Islam website www.livingislam.org.uk.
3.2. Tickets will be available for the full event or for single days.
3.3. The current prices will be displayed on the website. The Organisers reserve the right to change the prices at any time.
3.4. Discounts are available for families (4 or more persons in a single booking) and for members of ISB. These discounts apply for the full event only and are not available for single day tickets.
3.5. For the purposes of the family discount a “family” refers to immediate nuclear family of parents or legal guardians and their children.
3.6. From time to time, the event organisers may offer special discounts as part of specific promotions. These are valid for the times stated on the individual campaign. None of these can be applied to a previous booking. They are only valid for new purchases as part of the campaign.
3.7. A family of four or more, buying tickets for the full event (excluding infants under 2 years old), will qualify for a 10% discount on the total event ticket price.
3.8. Use the family promotional code as shown on the booking page to obtain the family discount.
3.9. Any mistakes or omissions cannot be rectified once the tickets have been paid for. The purchaser must ensure information is entered correctly.
3.10. The family discount is monitored by the Organisers. Should the discount be used for a booking other than stipulated here, we will:
- Contact you to inform you of the booking error; and
- Ask for you to make up the full price of your booking if you do not qualify.
ISB MEMBERS’ DISCOUNT
3.12. ISB Members can qualify for discounted tickets provided:
. They are currently registered members of ISB according to the ISB membership database. Any errors in the information will need to be corrected by the member with the support of the ISB office; and
. They are paying their membership subscription to ISB using direct debit. This can be completed online from the ISB website.
3.13. To take advantage of the discount, non-members can join ISB before booking their tickets for the Event. Membership is subject to the constitution of ISB which can be found on their website.
3.14. Qualifying members of ISB can purchase their tickets from the Living Islam website. These tickets are for qualifying members only. If eligible, the family discount will be applied to these tickets.
3.15. The ISB Members’ discount is monitored by Living Islam. Should the code be used for a booking other than stipulated here, we will:
- Contact you to inform you of the booking error;
- Ask for you to make up the full price of your booking if you do not qualify;
- Ask you to meet the qualification criteria if this is desirable; you are not under an obligation to join ISB!
4. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
4.1. The Organisers operate a discretionary refund policy.
4.2. Generally, once the tickets have been purchased, they cannot be cancelled or refunded.
4.3. If there are exceptional circumstances, then please contact the Organisers.
4.4. Where a refund has been agreed, the Organisers will aim to refund the monies within the next calendar month.
4.5. Tickets are not transferable without the permission of the Organisers. If there is an issue, please contact the Organisers.
4.6. If the event is postponed or cancelled, then the Organisers will send out guidance to the persons who made the bookings. This may be an offer of carrying your booking to the next event or a refund.
5. CHANGING AN EXISTING BOOKING
5.1. Tickets, once purchased, cannot be refunded or changed except in exceptional circumstances.
5.2. If your requirement for a ticket has changed, you can amend the booking in the Eventbrite system. You will need to inform the Organisers if this is done.
5.3. Should an upgrade in accommodation be required (e.g. from a tent to hotel room), please contact the Organisers for more information.
6. ENTRY TO LIVING ISLAM
6.1. Access to the Event is via a valid ticket.
6.2. All tickets will be checked/scanned at the entrance to validate entry.
6.3. No person is allowed on site without first presenting a valid ticket at the entrance.
7.1. Living Islam will not be able to provide free or communal accommodation at the site.
7.2. Living Islam has made arrangements for accommodation options as described below. These must be purchased on the Living Islam website.
7.3. Accommodation options are:
- . Camping on site (tents)
- . Caravan or Motor-home on site
- . Hotel booking arranged by us
- . Your own arrangements
7.5. Costs indicated are per accommodation and not per person.
7.6. The Organisers reserve the right to increase prices. These will be listed on the Living Islam website.
7.7. The Organisers cannot guarantee availability on the day and therefore strongly recommend you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
7.8. All accommodation is allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
7.9. We cannot hold or reserve any accommodation without payment
7.10. Accommodation, once booked and paid for, cannot be refunded.
CAMPING/TENTS ON SITE
7.11. Each tent purchase allows you to bring one vehicle on to the site, which must be parked next to the tent. Once parked the vehicle must not be moved or driven on the site for the duration of your stay.
7.12. A vehicle permit will be sent to you, which must be displayed in the windscreen. Without this permit, the vehicle will not be allowed on the site.
7.13. You are required to abide by our "code of conduct" while you are staying on site.
The following are "Description/ Details" for the accomodation on site:
- Own Tent/ Bring and set up your own tent
- Small Tent/ This tent will be ready for you when you arrive. It will be suitable for 2/3 people.
- Family Tent/ his tent will be ready for you when you arrive. It will be suitable for 5/6 people.
- Other (e.g. Yurt)/ Other options may become available and will be listed on the website.
CARAVAN OR MOTOR HOME ON SITE
7.13. There will be a charge for bringing a caravan or motor home to the Event. A pitching slot must be booked in advance so that we can arrange for electricity and water.
7.14. Please make your own arrangements for caravans/motor homes. These cannot be booked through Living Islam.
7.15. All caravans must have a working fire extinguisher.
7.16. Any gas or electricity safety certificates must be present on the site and presented to the Organisers upon request.
7.17. Each caravan pitch purchase allows you to bring one vehicle on to the site, which must be parked next to the caravan/motorhome. Once parked the vehicle must not be moved or driven on the site for the duration of your stay.
7.18. A vehicle permit will be sent to you, which must be displayed in the windscreen. Without this permit, the vehicle will not be allowed on the site.
7.19. For your convenience, Living Islam has made block bookings at several local hotels and is passing them on to you at an agreed rate. This is usually cheaper than normally available since we book them well in advance.
7.20. When you purchase a hotel booking from us, you agree to abide by the regulations enforced by the hotel.
7.21. Maximum occupancy will be shown on the Living Islam website. Should you exceed the maximum occupancy as stipulated by the hotel, they may refuse entry. If so, Living Islam has no liability for this situation.
7.22. Accommodation, once booked and paid for, cannot be refunded.
7.23. Please note these prices are for room only. Any additional requirements such as breakfast or child cots need to be requested from the hotel directly. Living Islam does not take any responsibility for the availability of these extras.
7.24. All hotel room accommodation sold by the Organisers are for the duration of the full event checking in Thursday 28th July 2016 and checking out Sunday 31st July 2016. We are unable to split the hotel room bookings (for example provide rooms for Friday and Saturday only).
YOUR OWN ACCOMMODATION ARRANGEMENTS
7.24. Visitors may make their own accommodation arrangements outside of those offered by Living Islam.
7.25. Living Islam does not take any responsibility for accommodation booked outside of the Living Islam website.
8.1. The advertised programme, activities and speakers are all subject to change without prior notification.
8.2. Living Islam does not endorse or enforce a particular viewpoint (theological or political). We encourage discussion and a platform for a variety of views.
8.3. Visitors are requested to be respectful and tolerant to all viewpoints presented and respond in a way that is befitting Islamic character.
9.1. Children in the scouts age group (6-11 years) are automatically enrolled into the scouts programme.
9.2. To opt out of the scouts programme, please contact the Organisers before the Event
9.3. In the case where the child/children have been opted out, they are the sole responsibility of their parents throughout the entire event.
9.4. In order for your child/children to participate in the scouts programme, you have agreed to the following:
9.4.1. Living Islam Scout Group Leaders will supervise my child(ren) during the Living Islam scouts programme only ;
9.4.2. I will drop off and collect my child(ren) at the designated location at the designated times;
9.4.3. I will allow photographs or film of my child taken at the Event to be used in any future Living Islam or ISB publicity;
9.4.4. If an emergency arises, and Living Islam Scout Group Leaders are unsuccessful in reaching the emergency contacts provided, my child(ren) will be taken to the on-site First Aid facilities where appropriate action will be taken.
9.4.5. I understand that, while Living Islam Scout Group Leaders will take all reasonable care of the children, they cannot necessarily be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by my child during or resulting from the Scout programme.
10. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
10.1. Living Islam reserve the right to make use of photographs or video taken on site for the purpose of marketing of Living Islam and ISB. This includes TV, Internet, printed and social media.
11. HEALTH & SAFETY
11.1. Living Islam values the safety of all visitors, volunteers and staff. Living Islam will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all present on the site. Your assistance in following the guidance below and instructions in the Event guide, could save lives.
11.2. Any person(s) endangering the facilities and/or other visitors will be escorted off site, reported to the Police, and excluded from this and future events. The organisers reserve the right to take legal action against those persons that are suspected and/or found to be endangering the facilities and/or visitors.
11.3. If you or anyone around you requires medical attention, then do one of the following:
. Approach a Living Islam steward or security person
. Go to the Visitor Info Centre
. Go to the First Aid facility on site
. Call the First Aid telephone number listed in the Event guide
11.4. If there is a medical emergency (e.g. suspected heart attack, suspected stroke), the visitor(s) should follow this guidance:
. Call 999 for an ambulance;
. Call the Emergency number listed in the event guide;
. Approach a Living Islam steward or security person. This is very important so that:
1. The onsite First Aid team can be contacted and brought to the location as quickly as possible; and
2. Ambulance(s) can be received by Security and directed to the correct location on the site.
VEHICLES ON SITE
11.5. Site speed limit of 5 miles per hour must be respected at all times.
11.6. Hazard lights must be on whilst the vehicle is in motion.
11.7. Each tent/caravan pitch booked through the website includes one space to park a vehicle. A permit will be issued.
11.8. Vehicles with permission to drive on site must show the permit in the windscreen.
11.9. Once parked, the vehicle cannot be moved until the event is over and people are leaving
11.10. Should a car be needed for some purpose during the event, it may be taken off the site but will not be allowed back on to the site. The vehicle should be parked in the car parks outside the venue.
11.11. For people with accommodation off site, vehicles must be parked in the car parks outside the venue.
11.12. Any vehicles without a permit will be escorted off site. If the vehicle is unoccupied or owner/keeper/driver is not available, then the Organisers reserve the right to put a clamp on the vehicle. The owner/keeper/driver will be liable for all costs associated with the removal of the clamp device.
11.13. Everyone on site is required to follow any instructions given to them by our site security personnel.
11.14. Failure to follow a reasonable instruction given to a participant on site could lead to the termination of the booking and the individuals concerned being asked to leave without a refund.
11.15. If there are any issues or cause for concern regarding safety and/or security, then approach a steward or security person.
COOKING AND FIRES
11.16. Living Islam has arranged for a variety of food vendors to be on site for the duration at the festival. Living Islam will also arrange for economy budget meal service.
11.17. To reduce the risk of fires, fires, barbeques and cooking are not allowed on the site
11.18. Any form of camping gas bottles or gas appliances are prohibited and cannot be brought onto site. This includes any gas fired camping stoves or barbeques. This restriction does not apply to authorised food vendors.
11.19. Cooking will be allowed inside caravans / camper vans that contain suitable equipment. Gas and electricity safety certificates must be present on the site and presented to the Organisers upon request.
12.1. Access provisions to buildings and facilities on the site have been provided by the site management.
12.2. Living Islam will endeavour to provide access at any extra facilities provided.
